Bus Driver's perspective

The last blog that I chose is actually kept up by a bus driver. This is one person who can be honest about how kids feel about school because she hears their conversations that they are having to and from school. I think that people forget that some children spend a lot of time on the bus and they develop close relationships. For example, in the PHM we have students that are on the bus for more than hour. I think that bus drivers have a unique opportunity to  hear candid responses from students that parents and teachers would not normally hear. Therefore I believe that bus drivers have a chance to make a real impact in the lives of teachers and students which is why I chose this blog

  1. I can only imagine what the bus driver must hear. There can be wonderful teaching opportunities about compassion and exercising self control. You'll learn a lot from the unfiltered view of the bus driver.

  2. I haven't had a lot of experience working with students on a bus and I know that the dynamics btw the students and the bus driver can quickly change. When students are younger, I think it would be a wonderful and positive thing if they connected with their bus driver. The bus is the first and last thing each student encounters at the start and end of the school day- it should be a positive experience.

  3. I think the bus is an important part of the whole school especially about students behavioral problems. It is the last station before they get they homes. I agree that it should be a positive thing of the school daily life.
